Extrude the Top and Remove Voxels to Create the Next Layer

A different way to add the next layer is to extrude first, and then remove voxels from the edges.

Use the Push Face Out tool add another layer on top, and then the Subtract tool to remove voxels from the edges.

Tip: 3 to Subtract Voxels

You can press the 3 key to swap to the Subtract tool.
